Summary

Timberline Learning Center in Breckenridge, Colorado, is seeking a well-qualified Executive Director to lead our community-based nonprofit early-learning center. The Executive Director is responsible for the overall management of childcare operations, supported by an administration team, and the TLC facility by creating and maintaining a high-quality environment characterized by positive leadership and strong team orientation. The Director actively leads, coordinates, and oversees all facets of the operation and works to ensure alignment with the Reggio Emilia approach to early learning. The Director works to ensure the mission and strategic plan are carried out. The Executive Director and Board have joint responsibility for developing and maintaining a strong working relationship and effective communication that enables the Board to effectively carry out its governance role. The Executive Director position is supervised by the Board of Directors.

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of TLC. The Executive Director works with staff to develop, maintain, and use systems and resources that facilitate effective operations. Serves as a primary spokesperson and public face for TLC, effectively promoting and advocating for TLC and building relationships with partner agencies and the community. Participate in multidisciplinary teams and foster open, positive relationships with children, parents, staff, community partners, and the Board of Directors. Responsible for ensuring that TLC’s financial resources are managed strategically and in alignment with the organization’s mission and goal. This includes overseeing the development of sound budgeting practices, maintaining accurate accounting systems and implementing strong financial controls and risk management policies. Identify grant opportunities, lead the grant writing process, and manage the full lifecycle of grant administration- including compliance, reporting and renewals. Develop a shared vision for TLC’s future and appropriate goals and strategies to advance TLC’s mission with the Board of Directors Responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to meet TLC’s financial development goals with the Board of Directors. Requirements

Minimum bachelor’s degree required; concentration/major in public administration, business administration, education, human resources, or other related field preferred. Demonstrated success in writing and securing grants Five (5) or more years of direct work experience in a highly responsible administrative role with human resources functions/support required. Five (5) or more years of financial or budgetary experience required. Five (5) or more years of supervisory or leadership experience required. High level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, and experience using spreadsheets for analyzing data. Clear all background and criminal history checks Demonstrated competency in an Early Childhood Education setting. Must possess or have the ability to possess within 3 months of hire, Director Qualification for a Large Center. Complete all preservice certifications and trainings required Nice To Haves

Five (5) years of office/administrative management preferred. Knowledge of and experience with non-profit agency regulations and compliance preferred. Previous grant writing and management experience preferred. Early Childhood Education degree Benefits
