Overview
Solutions Architect- Microservices/AWS/Security Robustware is seeking a Solutions Architect with expertise in microservices, AWS cloud, and security. This role requires strong architectural design, collaboration with technology teams, and guidance across architecture styles to ensure high-quality delivery. Responsibilities
Contribute to an overall Enterprise Architecture strategic plan and promote standard architecture frameworks and guidelines. Analyze complex business and technical problems related to new technology implementations or customization of existing technologies. Partner with technology teams and business stakeholders to conceptualize new application projects, recommend technologies, and architect/design for project requirements within time and budget constraints. Author and/or review architecture and technical design documents to ensure high-quality deliverables across tech stacks. Review code and approaches to ensure functional and non-functional requirements are met. Provide guidance and mentoring to technical teams across multiple architecture styles to improve design, reuse enterprise patterns, and enhance maintainability and testability. Guide testing strategy and performance profiling, providing feedback for tuning performance and non-functional elements. Define and communicate complex technical and operational solutions in business terms, and prepare technical solution documents and presentations. Enforce standards, frameworks, and architecture governance; create level 1 diagrams for vehicle-to-cloud, channel-to-cloud, and connected-vehicle system architectures; coordinate with cyber security and web security teams for compliance. Collaborate with security disciplines to bolster the organization’s security posture and reduce business risk. Qualifications
Must have experience in Microservices Architecture and AWS cloud; security and privacy experience required. Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Golang, Python) and demonstrated mastery through service-oriented/microservices architecture, preferably with Kubernetes and distributed designs for proofs of concepts. 10+ years in Information Technology with 3+ years as an architect; strong background in architecture environments (5-8+ years). Good understanding of application code development, system integrations, DevOps practices in AWS, and awareness of SRE principles; willingness to learn and expand knowledge. Experience with UML or C4 for distributed system representations to ensure standard architecture depiction across teams. Ability to document technical and operational solutions for diverse stakeholders; familiarity with TOGAF, service mesh concepts, and TechRadar practices is a plus. Strong communication skills to translate complex topics into business language and align with value-driven outcomes. Preferred: knowledge of authentication/authorization standards (OpenID, SAML, OAuth, JWT, X.509, MTLS), API security, and cloud-native security patterns; understanding of mobile technologies, OCPP, and ML modeling is a plus.
