Jira Administrator

with strong expertise in

Azure DevOps

and hands-on experience in

migrating projects, workflows, and issue tracking from ADO to Jira . The ideal candidate will be a Jira expert who can optimize configuration, drive adoption across teams, and ensure seamless integrations while leading migration efforts for teams transitioning from ADO. This role will also provide

Jira Admin support to help clients create a proper Jira structure and workflows, implement best practices, deliver Jira training, and provide ongoing maintenance and enhancements . Key Responsibilities

Configure, administer, and maintain Jira projects, workflows, custom fields, schemes, and permissions. Build and manage dashboards, filters, and reports tailored to business needs. Collaborate with Development, QA, and DevOps teams to align Jira with processes. Automate workflows using Jira Automation, ScriptRunner, or similar tools. Support the client in

designing proper Jira structures, workflows, and best practices . Deliver

Jira training sessions

and create supporting documentation. Provide

ongoing Jira maintenance, enhancements, and optimization . Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize usage. Stay updated on Jira/Confluence best practices, new features, and plugins. Integrate Jira with Confluence, Slack, GitHub, Bitbucket, and CI/CD pipelines. Lead and execute the

Azure DevOps to Jira migration strategy

for 2–3 teams, ensuring

data integrity and minimal disruption . Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a

Jira Administrator/Consultant . Proven experience with

Azure DevOps

and end-to-end

ADO to Jira migration . Strong understanding of

Jira Cloud or Data Center , workflows, and project configuration. Experience with data mapping, ETL, and migration tools (Jira Migration Assistant, Configuration Manager, or custom scripts). Solid knowledge of

Agile/Scrum methodologies

and Jira Agile boards. Proficiency in

JQL

and building dashboards/reports. Hands-on experience with

ScriptRunner

and

Automation for Jira . Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications

Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator (ACP-100 or equivalent). Experience with Confluence, Bitbucket, or other Atlassian tools. Familiarity with

REST APIs

for Jira and ADO. Prior experience in

regulated industries
