This role ensures team engagement, execution of goals, setting expectations and accountability, and the overall Caribou experience. The role focuses on Team, Guest and Quality, and brings the Core Values to life daily. The General Manager is expected to maximize opportunities for sales and traffic growth and acts as a leader in the community, inspiring the team and embodying the Caribou purpose: to create day-making experiences that spark a chain reaction of GOOD. Responsibilities (What you deliver)
Demonstrates the DOING of an Assistant General Manager with enthusiasm and excellence Team
Models, upholds and implements Caribou policies, practices, and standards Ensures the store is fully staffed for upcoming shifts; maintains up-to-date schedules and plans for future staffing including bench planning and development Owns the recruiting process (job posts, sourcing, timely follow-up, interviewing, hiring and onboarding) Keeps the team engaged and energized Executes Role Based Training and LTO/Promotional Window training Communicates clearly with the team about expectations and the "why behind the what" Maintains accurate records in Workday Ensures overall safety of team members and guests Coaches, trains, and develops the team to grow and progress in their careers Delivers proactive coaching conversations and feedback Guest
Delivers exceptional guest experience at all times Trains and develops the team to provide best-in-class guest service Models guest recovery and ownership of guest satisfaction metrics Represents Caribou in handling guest complaints and issues with a sincere approach Acts as a brand ambassador in the community Quality/Sales/Profit
Owns the store’s success and team performance Ensures food safety, sanitization, health and safety, and uses tools to achieve success metrics Champions standard operating procedures Understands store systems (CrunchTime, GoSpotCheck, EcoSure, TeamworX, Medallia, Workday, Beekeeper, etc.) Has deep understanding of P&L to build financial plans Drives sales goals and maintains inventory control and waste management Ensures quality guest experience and maintains a clean, safe environment per guidelines Minimizes loss through proper cash handling and adherence to policies Being – How you show up

Required: 2-3 years of restaurant, retail, or guest service management experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education Experience with sales building, P&L, recruiting, and training Must be 18 years of age or older Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Preferred: ServSafe certification (preferred or certification within 90 days of employment) High school diploma or GED Compensation and Location
Location: Willmar, MN Compensation Range: $20.82 - $39.77 per hour Note: Starting pay is subject to local and state minimum wage regulations; ranges reflect what the employer reasonably expects to pay for the position. Physical Demands
