Game Day Video Editor role at
Minnesota Timberwolves . This is a seasonal, part-time position supporting the content team with capturing content for gamedays and implementing the organization’s content strategies and objectives. Expected availability is for all home and away Timberwolves games. The role requires late hours and overnight video editing to publish content in the mornings and early afternoons. Edit game recaps, highlight reels, and player features with pacing, music, and storytelling. Identify elements and potential storylines from NBA live games and tentpole events. Collaborate cross-functionally to develop platform-specific, on-trend, high-quality video content, including completing revisions as needed. Cut and edit raw video content from multiple sources into compelling social media content for YouTube, TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. Deep understanding of TikTok/Reels style editing and curation. Edit promotional and branded content for league initiatives and tentpole events (e.g., NBA Cup, All-Star, Playoffs, Awards). Edit and deliver video content for multiple platforms including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, Timberwolves App. Maintain brand consistency and editorial standards across all content. Stay current with trends in sports media, social video, and editing techniques. Manage time between quick-turnaround projects and larger projects. Work nights, weekends, holidays, and in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while staying organized and detail-oriented. Demonstrate strong work ethic, professionalism, and a desire to succeed. Strong knowledge of basketball and the NBA is preferred. Qualifications
Education: Combination of education and experience preferred. Experience: 3 years of video editing. Compensation: $17.00/hour. Work Environment: Office and sports arena with varied conditions; occasional travel may be required. Work Environment and Requirements
This role splits duties between a professional office environment and a sports arena. Office hours may vary and will include evenings, weekends, and holidays. The job may involve attending external events and working in arena conditions, including traversing bleachers and tight spaces. Physical Demands: Regular standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, or crawling; ability to move items up to 50 pounds. Travel
