Overview
Our Washington DC client has been a fixture of the highly specialized US Supreme Court and federal appellate court legal community for decades, printing legal briefs for landmark cases such as Roe V Wade and Bush V Gore. They are looking for a Print Production Specialist. This role will support all areas of production to include print job set up, binding and finishing. Hours
Mon - Fri, 9am - 5:30pm plus overtime as needed. Responsibilities
Coordinate and maintain print production schedule. Schedule and oversee maintenance and repairs of Xerox machines and bindery equipment. Set up printing files in Adobe and Freeflow. Print and review printing proofs and make adjustments as needed for full print run. Assist with pre-production set-up and project workflow. Set up print jobs on perfect binder and saddle stitcher. Create FedEx shipping labels and manage supplies. Respond to customer status emails and phone calls. Review documents for printing compliance. Facilitate local hand deliveries and filings. Qualifications
Solid computer experience. Detail oriented. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Initiative. Desire to learn and cross train. Work well with others. Ability to multi-task. Availability to work overtime as needed. Drivers’ license. Ideal candidate will have desire to work for a small business and grow with the company. Interest in legal field is a huge plus. Compensation
$22-26/hr, full benefits to include medical, dental, vision (100% of premiums for employee coverage paid 100% by the company), short term disability, group life insurance, 7 company holidays, 2 floating holidays and PTO. After 3 yrs, SEP retirement plan which has been equal to 16-22% of employee’s salary deposited into a fully vested IRA account annually.
