About the Role
We are actively seeking a strategic and dynamic Vice President for Underwriting and Business Development Strategy. This critical leadership position will focus on propelling our organization’s growth through underwriting excellence and innovative distribution strategies. You will oversee the complete underwriting process, prioritizing operational excellence, technical precision, and team development in sales and negotiation.
Your responsibilities will include boosting our brand presence in emerging markets, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and motivating distribution partners to drive profitable growth and customer retention. To qualify, you must have at least 10 years of experience in property and casualty underwriting, preferably with a focus on commercial property and casualty. Additionally, you should bring 5-10 years of business development acumen within the insurance sector.
This role calls for a leader who excels in problem-solving and decision-making, with a strong track record of fostering teamwork and achieving results. You will be expected to drive a culture of sales, provide mentorship, and devise marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness and promote expansion.
A preferred candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field and demonstrate essential skills such as change management, collaboration, emotional intelligence, and executive presence.
