We defend parental rights against retaliatory custody battles, helping to ensure survivors retain custody of their children while rebuilding their lives.
Position Title : Web Engineer Internship at Mommy's Heart
Duration : 6 months
Location : in-office, remote, or a combination (as applicable and based on personal preference)

Are you a talented and driven website engineer eager to make a positive impact in the lives of abuse survivors? Join Mommy's Heart as a Website Engineer Intern and play a pivotal role in enhancing our digital presence. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on web development projects for a nonprofit organization committed to social justice and advocacy.
Responsibilities :
As a Website Engineer Intern at Mommy's Heart, you will take the lead in managing and improving our website to ensure that survivors can access crucial resources and information online. Your responsibilities may include:
Website Development : Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain the organization's website, ensuring functionality, accessibility, and user-friendliness.
Content Management : Update and manage website content, including blog posts, resources, and event information.
User Experience (UX) Improvement : Analyze user feedback and data to identify areas for improvement in website usability and design.
Mobile Optimization : Ensure the website is mobile-responsive, providing a seamless experience for users on various devices.
SEO Optimization : Implement SEO best practices to enhance the website's visibility in search engine results.
Security : Collaborate with the IT team to ensure website security and protect user data.
Website Analytics : Monitor website performance and user engagement using analytics tools, making data-driven recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications : Proficiency in web development languages and frameworks (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, etc.).
Experience with content management systems (e.g., Wordpress, Hubspot, Salesforce) and website hosting. Must be proficient in Wordpress.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Effective communication skills and the ability to understand and translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
