The Department of Child, Youth and Family Studies is looking for a new team member that will provide high-level administrative support for the department. Primary duties include assisting the Chair in daily operations of the department, organizing and maintaining department documents and vital records; and supervising department office staff.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus three years of relevant administrative experience; equivalent education/experience considered. Must be proficient with word processing, database, spreadsheet and presentation computer software. Detail-oriented and accurate with strong organizational and communication skills required. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently within established procedures. Ability to preserve confidentiality essential. Must be able to supervise staff. Must be a self-starter and have ability to anticipate and effectively solve problems. Ability to present information in a way that facilitates decision-making necessary. Must be able to assist the Chair in management of tasks and time and to represent oneself and department well to others. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in higher education setting and/or supervisory experience preferred. Experience with large integrated financial management system and variety of database software programs desirable.

Physical Required No
Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required. Subject to DOT approved pre-employment & random testing for alcohol and controlled substances. No
Criminal History Background Check Required Yes
