Engtal is hiring: Senior Construction Project Manager in Providence

We are partnered with a well-established General Contractor in Rhode Island seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team. With a healthy pipeline of work—including a $90M ground-up school project in Providence and several $5M–$6M renovation projects in Newport and Middletown—this is an excellent opportunity to lead both large-scale and mid-sized commercial and institutional builds.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of project delivery from preconstruction through closeout.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and contracts to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to align goals and resolve issues.
• Lead project teams with a focus on communication, accountability, and professional standards.
• Provide leadership across multiple project types, including ground-up academic facilities and community-focused renovations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager on commercial, academic, or institutional projects , including large-scale ground-up construction ($50M+ preferred).
• Strong background in construction scheduling, cost control, and contract management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Professional presence and composure; ability to represent the company to clients and partners.
• Stable project history (minimal job-hopping) and experience managing projects of similar scale and complexity.
