Overview
Cape Fox Facilities Services (CFFS) is seeking qualified Construction Surveillance Technicians to support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). DIA has a requirement for construction surveillance services utilizing Construction Surveillance Technicians (CSTs) to support Construction Surveillance Detection Service operations via the CST Site Security Program (SSP). The specific goal of the CST SSP is to detect unauthorized access to controlled areas, deter the introduction of unauthorized materials to the site, and to observe activities of construction workers and/or visitors on site to prevent the implantation of clandestine surveillance devices or systems into the structure being constructed. Responsibilities Must be available to work during evening hours. Shifts will occur between the hours of 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM. Must maintain a neat and professional appearance. Must be comfortable in a highly secure and visible environment. Monitor the activities of all personnel on the SCS. Document the construction activities of all people on the SCS. Document all security incidents that occur on the SCS. IAW the Construction Security Plan (CSP) perform in-depth inspections of construction materials, tools, and equipment prior to and after their use/installation ensuring all items are free of tampering and identifying all anomalies. Material inspections will include the use of specialized equipment including the Non-Linear Junction Detector, Spectrum Analyzer, and Portable X-Ray machine. CST must be trained in the use of Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) equipment to effectively utilize such equipment during material inspections. All materials inspections will be done at the direction of the SSM. Identify anomalies and variances in finished construction work against the official project construction plans. Perform close-in/seal-in inspections in accordance with the CSP, SSM, and SSC direction. Perform access control functions, including personnel and bag searches, preventing the entry of unauthorized persons, materials, and equipment. Carry out opening and closing procedures of the SCS each day as directed by the SSM. Operations may include 24/7/365 operations. Hours and shifts are subject to change due to the need to meet mission requirements.
