Development Engineer - Electronic Hardware
Analyze OEM vehicle maker customer electronic control unit (ECU) hardware (including embedded microprocessors, System Basis Chip (SBC), motor gate drivers, and communication buses), and software requirements and technical specifications of passenger vehicle door modules/systems, power operated tailgates (POTS), power sliding doors, frunks etc. including actuators, motors, and sensors. Use CodeBeamer tool to plan, define, review and validate Brose door systems ECU hardware software interface and engineering requirements including system, subsystem, component levels and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), and create hardware software interface documents for software creation. Follow CISPR 25 EMC and ISO 11452-2/116750 Road vehicle/Environmental standards, and create functional, electrical, EMC test plans. Design door module/system, POTS, frunk and related electronics which can communicate using Communication Area Network (CAN) and Local Interconnect Network (LIN) buses. Create ECU electrical analog and digital circuit schematics using Cadence OrCAD software and ensure use of automotive qualified electronic components. Master, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related. Twelve months' experience as Engineer, Developer, or related, analyzing OEM vehicle maker customer electronic control unit (ECU) hardware, using CodeBeamer to define or validate door systems ECU hardware software interface and engineering requirements including Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), and designing door module or door system which can communicate using Communication Area Network (CAN) and Local Interconnect Network (LIN) buses, or related.
