Location: The Piper Living - Kansas City, KS Shift: 12pm - 8pm or 2pm - 10pm Salary Range: $65,000 - $71,000 annually

Job Summary
The
ADON (Assistant Director of Nursing) , also known as the Assistant Resident Care Coordinator, is responsible for assisting the Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) in daily activities, directing Resident Assistants (RAs), and helping coordinate services to residents under the direction of the RCC and Health Services Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
Nursing Responsibilities & Medication Assistance
Audit the
Medication Administration Report (MAR)
and notify pharmacy of changes. Complete resident assessments per
Spring Arbor and licensure guidelines
in a timely manner. Develop and implement
resident care plans
to meet individual needs. Consult with families and physicians to coordinate proper resident care. Monitor all aspects of the
medication administration program . Communicate with physicians and other medical professionals regarding residents' medications, treatments, and therapies. Assist residents with
Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transfer, mobility, and incontinence care. Perform and document medical treatments/procedures according to state regulations and Spring Arbor policies. Respond promptly to the
resident emergency call system . Assist and orient residents at time of admission. Management
Manage and direct
resident care staff
and complete scheduling. Ensure timely completion of all
Spring Arbor and state-required documentation . Assist the Executive Director and RCC in implementing
state regulations . Training
Coordinate and conduct
in-service training
for resident care staff. Orient, monitor progress, and reinforce training of staff. Attend meetings and training sessions as required. Residents' Rights
Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding
residents' rights . Report any observed violations promptly. Other Duties
Fulfill
Manager On Duty (MOD)
requirements. Assist coworkers with duties as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor. Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise and delegate responsibilities to the resident care staff. Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
LPN license required Experience in a similar setting preferred; bachelor's degree a plus. Knowledge of diagnoses, medication administration programs, and supervisory practices. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Must be dependable, organized, professional, and genuinely interested in serving seniors. Minimum age: 18 years old.
