Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Aviation Project Manager - Civil to lead and manage complex civil infrastructure projects for aviation clients. This role is responsible for overseeing scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, stakeholder communication, and quality control. The ideal candidate will possess a strong civil engineering background and demonstrated experience managing multidiscipline project teams.
Responsibilities:
Deliver all project objectives for aviation-related civil engineering projects (airside and landside). Manage scope, schedule, and budget across multiple project delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3). Collaborate with internal disciplines and sub-consultants to define scope and project fees. Develop project-specific plans including Project Management Plans and quality management plans. Create and maintain project schedules. Communicate project status and updates to all stakeholders. Lead proposal development, SMART Go/No Go decisions, and interviews in collaboration with leadership. Prepare progress reports and invoice reviews. Manage and mentor team members with continuous performance feedback and coaching. Coordinate technical resources to ensure delivery of high-quality outcomes. Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program. Professional Engineer (PE) License with the ability to register in multiple states within 3 months. 10+ years of experience in civil engineering with at least 7 years managing projects. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication and presentation skills. Experience leading multi-discipline teams. Preferred Qualifications:
PMP or CAPM certification. Experience with air-side airport infrastructure projects (runways, taxiways, taxilanes, RSA improvements). Knowledge of FAA guidelines and circulars. Familiarity with a variety of delivery methods (DBB, DB, P3).
