This opportunity is to manage and work with members of Contracts Team within the Advanced Compact Electronic Warfare Systems (ACES) Product Line within the Countermeasures and Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA) Business Area for the Electronic Systems (ES) Sector. This Contracts Manager role will provide an opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment managing some of your own contracts as well as leading other Contracts professionals who are actively supporting numerous contracts and multiple millions of dollars of ongoing proposal activity. This role involves interfacing with all levels of management and functions (Program Office, Finance, Operations, Engineering, Quality, etc.) within BAE Systems as well as with our USG Customers and Primes.
Location: This position is located in Nashua, NH.
As the Contracts Manager, you will work with internal team members and our customers to shape and close business opportunities in concert with internal objectives for the ACES Product Line.
Daily responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:
Management of personnel, their workloads and their development plans for future growth. Providing leadership and guidance on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues as well as an understanding and compliance with company policies and procedures. Interacting with the team to gather, interpret, analyze, and develop recommended strategies and present information. Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, legal, regulatory and customer requirements. Preparing, negotiating and managing complex proposals and contracts. Providing guidance to Program, Engineering and Operations teams on government and commercial contracting methods for military equipment while protecting our Intellectual Property rights. Collaborating cross-functionally with Program Management, Finance, Operations, Engineering, Quality and Export teams.
This role operates in a hybrid work format, combining both collaborative and independent work. While the role offers flexibility, the ideal candidate will be able to work on-site at our Nashua, NH facility, with the possibility of being present most days of the week, as dictated by program and team needs.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of related contracts experience or equivalent experiecen in DoD contracting. US Citizen with active Secret clearance and the ability to successfully obtain Top Secret/SCI. Strong hands-on knowledge of, and experience with, FAR, DFAR, and other relevant rules and regulations. Experience with OTAs and Commercial Item Determination. Strong knowledge of intellectual property and policies. Proven ability to lead and close complex negotiations requiring Current Cost or Pricing Data and Truthful Cost or Pricing Data certification. Experience with agreements to support business development, program management and engineering development teams (ex. NDAs, teaming, bailment agreements, etc.). Experience dealing with the US Government and major industry defense & electronics companies, as your customer. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to prepare spreadsheets and presentations. Must also be an independent, take-charge, self-starter able to identify gaps or issues, develop solutions, and implement changes as needed with minimal oversight.
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $116419 - $197912
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
