Role Overview We are seeking a skilled
Automation Engineer
to join our Service Reliability team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain automation solutions that enhance the stability, performance, and efficiency of our operational platforms. You'll work closely with Operations and SRE teams to identify opportunities for automation, reduce incidents, and implement solutions that drive continuous improvement across our infrastructure. Your contributions will directly support our ability to deliver reliable services and empower customers to make informed decisions globally.
Key Responsibilities
Build & Maintain Automation Tools:
Develop solutions that streamline operations, reduce incidents, and improve service reliability. Troubleshoot & Resolve Issues:
Support validation and production environments through proactive problem-solving and root cause analysis. Optimize Processes:
Enhance existing workflows and design new processes to improve performance and scalability. Collaborate with Stakeholders:
Partner with internal teams to capture requirements and deliver automation solutions tailored to business needs. Drive Continuous Improvement:
Lead or contribute to automation projects that strengthen system resilience and efficiency. Measure Quality & Performance:
Define KPIs and create reporting mechanisms to monitor improvements. Support 24/7 Operations:
Provide technical analysis, participate in on-call rotations, and ensure timely resolution of escalations.
Qualifications & Experience
4-6+ years of experience as an Automation Engineer, SRE, or DevOps Engineer. Strong background in Linux (preferred) and Windows Server administration. Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell). Experience with automation frameworks and configuration management tools (Rundeck, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.). Solid understanding of relational databases, APIs (REST), and infrastructure monitoring tools (Splunk, Nagios, PagerDuty, BigPanda). Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), version control systems (Git, BitBucket, GitHub), and documentation tools (Confluence). Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes), and business continuity/disaster recovery automation. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with a focus on delivering reliable solutions.

or Cisco Tidal Enterprise Scheduler. Knowledge of

and advanced monitoring strategies. Hands-on experience in a
