Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM. Deploy and support software releases into production environments. Perform detailed analysis and documentation for maintenance and improvement projects in batch and online environments. Embrace data security practices to protect customer information. Conduct unit, functional, and regression testing with thorough attention to detail. Collaborate with the team to think strategically, share innovative insights, and provide creative solutions for a quality user experience. Demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational skills with effective written and verbal communication. Be flexible and adapt focus to meet the most pressing customer/client needs. Maintain a growth mindset, learn new technologies and skills, and share knowledge with squad members. Qualifications
8+ years of software development experience in enterprise applications. Mainframe development expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM. Knowledge of MQ is a plus. Ability to analyze and document maintenance and improvement work for batch and online environments. Experience deploying software releases to production. Strong emphasis on testing (unit, functional, regression) and quality. Willingness to work with Distributed Technologies and learn as needed. Strategic thinking, innovative mindset, and ability to deliver exceptional user experiences. Effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
