Personal Lines Account Manager

HUB International The Account Manager manages a book of insurance business, providing professional, courteous service to clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues, with a focus on client retention and supporting Producers and Account Managers in maintaining and expanding business. Responsibilities include handling day-to-day account activity, changes to accounts, mailing policies, and quoting, with independence in decision-making as appropriate. Responsibilities
Makes decisions on books of insurance business for which the incumbent is responsible. Collaborates with Account Managers, Producers, and HUB personnel on client service, marketing, and renewal processes while following HUB best practices and standard procedures. Oversees preparation and implementation of all transactions, paperwork, and internal processing for assigned accounts. Understands clients' insurance objectives and analyzes plans to determine suitability. Keeps abreast of changes in the insurance industry and external conditions that may impact clients. Recommends appropriate changes to clients in response to industry changes, independently when appropriate. Acts as liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve escalated service issues requiring policy interpretation and experience-based judgment. May negotiate with underwriters and carriers. Troubleshoots claims and billing issues. Maintains overall retention of accounts in the assigned book of business. Develops new business from existing accounts and assigned leads, contributing to departmental production goals. Identifies and pursues cross-selling opportunities when appropriate. Manages, organizes, and conducts client meetings as needed. Documents conversations with clients and carrier representatives and updates HUB systems accordingly; ensures data accuracy. Travels on company business as required. Prepares reports for management as required. Attends industry-related continuing education training and courses. Performs other duties and projects as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Experience
Excellent oral and written English communications skills. Superior customer service and problem solving skills. Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office and automated agency management systems. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to work a regular, full-time schedule at HUBs facility(s) and travel on business when required. Licensing Or Certification Requirements
Minimum of a FL 4-40; willingness to obtain 2-20 or 20-44 P&C License if not already completed. Current with all necessary CE credits in required lines and states. Experience, Travel, and Education
