This position is responsible for providing administrative support to faculty, other staff, and students in the Department of Engineering. Responsibilities

Department Assistance: 45% Assists in the development of office procedures, including complex or specialized functions. Makes arrangements for conferences, appointments and travel. Requesting Travel approvals and reconciling Purchasing Card expenses including GSA rate comparisons and other required documentation to ensure compliance. Creating courses in Banner and running course, schedule and student reports using Argos. Verifies, processes, and reviews forms, reports, tables, and other documents for accuracy and completion, including collecting and filing forms for prerequisite waivers, registration hold releases, and other academic processes. Support faculty/program coordinators in updating information in Banner; assigning classrooms in ASTRA, and if necessary, create new sections, new courses with adequate seating, checking and maintaining records of capacity in classes; assisting in the timely collection of syllabi. Reviewing department reports, adding information from ARGOS. Administrative Support: 40% Answering phones, emails and in person inquiries / requests from students, faculty and staff. Assist in setting up meetings, seminars, and other special events. Purchase office supplies for the department and faculties. Coordinates the maintenance of files, records, office supplies and equipment. Other: 15% Hire and fill grader and research assistant positions on Workday. Assists management in the supervision of student workers. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED Four (4) years of related experience. Additional education may be considered as a substitution for the minimum experience requirements. Associates degree and two (2) years of related work experience Bachelor's degree Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally and work cooperatively with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong clerical and customer service skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to multitask and ability to deal with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality as required by state and federal law. Preferred Qualifications
