This position focuses on the structural and environmental remediation aspects of fire and smoke damage. Ideal candidates have experience with fire-related demolition, debris removal, soot residue cleaning, and odor control in both residential and commercial properties. As a Fire Remediation Technician, you will play a key role in restoring safety and cleanliness to properties affected by fire, while following strict safety, containment, and cleaning protocols. Responsibilities: Conduct fire damage mitigation, including removal of soot, charred materials, and hazardous debris Perform selective demolition and structural cleaning using industry-approved methods Set up negative air containment zones and use air filtration equipment as needed Clean structural components, surfaces, and HVAC systems to remove smoke residues Execute odor control treatments using ozone, hydroxyl, or other deodorization systems Maintain accurate job documentation and communicate findings to supervisors Follow all PPE, safety, and contamination control protocols Work in coordination with other technicians and project leads to ensure job completion Requirements: 1+ year of experience in fire or environmental remediation preferred Comfortable working in confined, high-heat, or heavily contaminated spaces Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in full PPE Valid drivers license with a clean driving record Must provide black protective toe work boots and black or dark-colored work pants Strong attention to safety and compliance Willingness to undergo background check and drug screening Preferred Qualifications: IICRC Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT) certification or willingness to obtain Experience with odor remediation equipment and chemical safety Familiarity with DASH or other restoration job management platforms Benefits: Competitive pay based on experience and certifications Opportunities for overtime and bonuses 401(k), health, vision, and dental insurance Cell phone reimbursement Company-provided uniforms Paid training and certification advancement Company vehicle during shift Supportive team environment and career advancement opportunities This franchise is independently owned and operated by a franchisee.
