Ochsner Childrens Hospital is seeking an experienced Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist to serve as Medical Director of Pediatric CVICU in New Orleans, Louisiana. Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the physicians in a state-of-the-art 12-bed CVICU with teaching responsibilities for pediatric residents, medical students, and allied health students. Provide cardiac critical care for patients from birth to adulthood in a dedicated CVICU, working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver around-the-clock care for patients with congenital and acquired heart disease. Contribute to the heart centers subspecialties including heart failure/transplant, electrophysiology, adult congenital heart disease, interventional cardiology, imaging (echocardiography, cardiac MRI and CT), fetal cardiology, single-ventricle programs, and neurodevelopmental services. Support the programs clinical and educational missions, including teaching and research activities, in collaboration with pediatric residents and medical students. Program and Setting

Ochsner Childrens Hospital includes a 67-bed Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a 14-bed PICU, a 12-bed Pediatric CV-ICU, a NAEC-accredited level IV, a 4-bed Pediatric EMU and a 44-bed Pediatric Acute Care unit, with a 24-7 pediatric and neonatal transport team. The heart center includes 21 cardiologists, 3 congenital heart surgeons, 6 cardiac intensivists, and 3 pediatric cardiac anesthesiologists. The program performs approximately 250 cardiac surgeries, 400 cardiac catheterizations (75% interventional), and 19,000 ambulatory visits at 15 locations across Louisiana and Mississippi per year. The program has been ranked by US News & World Report for the last six years and is the only ranked program in Louisiana; survival for complex cases is highlighted in STS reporting. Ochsner Childrens is part of a larger network comprising over 85 primary care pediatricians and more than 290 pediatric subspecialists in 27 locations across Louisiana and Mississippi. The network offers a full range of complex pediatric services, including congenital heart surgery, cardiac transplantation, liver and bone marrow transplantation, advanced GI/Hepatology, Hematology-Oncology, and a comprehensive surgical subspecialty group. The hospital supports a large residency program and collaborates with Tulane-Ochsner and other academic partners. Qualifications

Board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Cardiology with leadership experience in an ICU setting. Strong commitment to teaching, clinical excellence, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
