Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a COMSEC Manager to join a Federal Program working in Ft. Meade, MD. The COMSEC Manager will be viewed as a subject matter expert for all COMSEC related items on the program including items within multiple operational environments (DEV/TEST and Production). Responsibilities of the COMSEC Manager include: Install and configure cryptographic hardware, promptly troubleshoot issues to minimize user downtime. Ensure operational readiness and reliability of crypto devices, reducing disruptions during maintenance windows. Safeguard keying material and other COMSEC assets in accordance with security protocols. Update keying material based on customer-defined schedules. Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of all COMSEC devices and materials across multiple accounts and systems. Demonstrate full accountability for all COMSEC assets during annual audits. Enforce compliance with customer COMSEC policies and procedures; ensure users adhere to these standards. Deliver COMSEC custodian training to team members and stakeholders. Collaborate with customers, teammates, and end users to uphold security standards and meet deployment timelines. Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies related to COMSEC operations. Develop, document, and execute action plans to address program needs. Coordinate with customers and external stakeholders to support program objectives. Provide technical guidance and support aligned with the organization's mission. Qualifications for the COMSEC Manager include: Bachelor's degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 6-10 years of experience. Minimum of 8 years of COMSEC or related security experience. Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification. Strong understanding of current cryptographic devices, COMSEC principles, and practices. Proficiency in administrative processes and documentation. Familiarity with network transport devices (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) connected to encryption systems. Basic knowledge of information security technologies and practices. Subject Matter Expert (SME) in COMSEC account management. Proven experience implementing innovative solutions to meet customer needs. Additional IT certifications such as A+, CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, etc. Must have an Active U.S. Top Secret (TS) with SCI eligibility security clearance. Compensation for the COMSEC Manager includes: Salary Range: $100,000 - $115,000 depending on experience Comprehensive Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays
