About the Role
The Company is actively seeking a dedicated Chief Compliance Officer to oversee and enhance its comprehensive regulatory and accreditation operations. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in ensuring our compliance with various regulatory agencies, including The Joint Commission, health departments, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. You will be responsible for the regulatory integrity of a diverse range of healthcare entities, including hospitals, behavioral health facilities, and home care accreditation.
This role requires you to provide expert technical support, conduct educational initiatives, perform policy reviews, and offer consultation during regulatory surveys. You will collaborate closely with physician leadership to develop strong recommendations for non-accredited patient care locations, and be tasked with conducting mock surveys, educating staff, and leading workgroups dedicated to regulatory compliance excellence.
The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree, preferably in nursing or allied health, and will have a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) designation. A minimum of 10 years of relevant healthcare experience is essential, with at least 7 years in a management role, ideally within an academic medical center. A robust understanding of healthcare policies, regulatory standards, and business operations is crucial for success in this position.
As the Chief Compliance Officer, you will have a profound understanding of federal and state regulatory guidelines, especially those pertaining to TJC, CMS, and MIEMSS. This leadership role demands someone who can establish best practice infrastructures, mitigate risks, and facilitate the dissemination of lessons learned to bolster regulatory compliance throughout the organization.
