Duties:
The ideal candidate has experience applying data science to impact business outcomes and enjoys pushing the boundaries to innovate.
You will conduct analyses utilizing a variety of statistical methods and build automated reports and tools for viewing data. The goal will be to support Workplace Effectiveness in making evidence-based business decisions that ensure employee productivity, well-being, and operational efficiency.
Working with senior decision-makers, your contributions will have high visibility and enable our team to have a profound impact on the global organization.
Impact of decisions will contribute to Site Services shaping over USD 1B worth of capital by 2022.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage data to identify patterns and solve strategic analytic business problems.
- Execute sophisticated analyses resulting in actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts across WE and the business.
- Contribute to data integrity and forensic efforts.
- Define requirements and work with local and global IT teams to extend and maintain the Site Services Analytics platform.
- Design and implement self-service reporting tools (e.g., R-Shiny, Tableau, R, Python).
- Identify opportunities to further develop our IoT strategy.
- Require 5+ years of experience in data-related fields, especially with research programs seeking practical or predictive significance.
- Experience working with large, complex data systems to aggregate, organize, and prepare data for analysis.
- Extensive background in data mining and statistical analysis to derive insights.
- Proven ability to bridge business requirements and technical development.
Skills:
Specialized Knowledge / Skills:
- Data-oriented scripting (e.g., SQL) and statistical programming (e.g., R, Python as a plus).
- Classical statistics and experimental design.
- Developing shared code, creating data pipelines, and using version control.
- Experience building R-Shiny applications.
Desirable (not required):
- Experience with web services like AWS and big data tools.
- Knowledge of machine learning approaches and model validation techniques.
- Background in architecture, working with architects, space planners, and interior design specialists.
- Experience with HR or organizational data.
- Public examples of code or projects (GitHub, websites, publications).
Education: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Psychology, Statistics, or related field or equivalent experience.
