A small, well established and fast-growing R&D company in Laguna Hills is seeking a Temporary on-site
Accountant to cover for an upcoming leave of absence that will last approximately 5-8 months. The pay-rate is $30-40/hr based on experience and the schedule is Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM.
The Accountant will oversee and manage the office administration, accounting and contracts management for the company.
The ideal candidate is expected to have strong experience in corporate administration and job cost accounting. Additionally, the candidate should have good communication skills, both verbally and written, and be able to interact well with staff, government contacts and vendors.
Job Responsibilities
- Office administration and accounting management
- Understanding of government accounting, general ledger and cost accounting and review
- Understanding of Accounts Receivable invoicing, banking and review
- Payroll administration
- Understanding of HR administration and review
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/business
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office - WORD, Excel and PowerPoint
- Basic understanding of government cost accounting software/requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in job cost accounting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Highly motivated self-starter with ability to quickly absorb ideas and complete tasks within prescribed timelines and resources
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a team towards a larger company objective
