What You'll Do:
As a Security Guard, you will carry out our Mission of Love by resolving security situations on Masonic Village property and providing on campus personnel to make competent decisions for positive event resolution.
Our Security Guard is responsible for the following:
- Patrols the building and grounds in an effective manner and identifies unusual circumstances and takes appropriate action to resolve situations. Secures and maintains the security of buildings.
- Acts as first responder to fire and police emergencies. Orchestrates activities during emergency situations. Protect persons and property from harm or theft.
- Prepares reports in a clear, concise manner using mobile collection device and workstation PC and sends reports to appropriate personnel. Maintains an accurate computerized log of all activities.
- Maintains a working knowledge of buildings, alarm systems and fire protection systems. Performs monthly and annual inspections of fire extinguishers in a timely and accurate manner. Identifies extinguishers that need serviced and arranges for maintenance to be performed.
- Issues violations to persons in violation of Masonic Village's parking and road safety policies.
- Provides support to various departments after normal business operating hours including but not limited to Resident Care, post office mail delivery, and responding to Maintenance situations.
- Minimum of High School graduate or equivalent.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Previous security/police experience or completion of post High School course work in criminal justice or security is preferred.
- Good organizational and basic computer skills.
- CPR certification required; in-house training can be provided.
