Location: Watford City, ND (as listed in postings).

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and operate compressor station or pump station equipment, plant facilities and pipeline facilities including prime movers and compressors, valves, filters, separators, dehydrators, pumps, and auxiliary equipment to meet production and product throughput requirements in a reliable and efficient manner in compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Plan, organize, prioritize, communicate, and coordinate work with employees and contractors to ensure safe, timely, and effective completion.
  • Provide budgetary information, schedule work and outages, order materials, maintain inventory, and coordinate needed resources.
  • Interpret and utilize drawings, schematics, loading/pump curves, OEM manuals, and other technical resources.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and portable/mobile equipment in hazardous, classified, and non-hazardous environments.
  • Utilize precision measurement equipment to determine dimensions and set clearances and tolerances.
  • Maintain equipment records, logs, inventory, and other documentation required by procedures and regulatory agencies.
  • Provide training and leadership to develop and maintain effective work crews, depending on level hired.
  • Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and complete required documentation (OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.).
  • Maintain facilities, grounds, and work areas in a safe, orderly, and efficient manner.
  • Actively participate and provide leadership in safety programs and initiatives while following policies and procedures.
  • Provide on-call support for areas of responsibility on a rotating basis.
  • Comply with partnership safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform energy isolation lockout/tagout procedures (LOTO).

Education and Experience

  • Required: High school diploma or GED.
  • Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level.
  • Level C: 0–2 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent.
  • Level B: 2–4 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent.
  • Level A: 4+ years of relevant industry experience or equivalent.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with demonstrated safe driving record; ability to be certified as a USDOT driver under FMCSA may be required based on location and legal requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to work effectively in a group environment.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to learn and perform operations and maintenance tasks for various facilities and equipment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook) and other computer-based tools for training, time reporting, expense reporting, and documentation.

Working Conditions and Requirements

  • Occasional exposure to heat, cold, and other adverse weather conditions.
  • Work may include confined spaces and heavy lifting (>75 lbs) with or without assistance.
  • Work in industrial/construction settings with hazardous materials; may require PPE including respirators.
  • Work around equipment requiring adherence to safe work procedures.
  • Subject to call-outs after hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
