Excelsior Wellness is seeking an IT/IS Specialist to join our team.

As our IT/IS Specialist at Excelsior Wellness, your role is pivotal in empowering our teams to maximize their utility of our information systems and technologies. With a foundation in healthcare informatics, customer support, training, and technology, you will be instrumental in supporting end users, empowering staff to have all required technologies for their role, and supporting all workflows and practices of the IT/IS team. Your role will support our mission to elevate the quality of care, streamline and standardize best practices, and provide high-quality support to all of our staff.
To Qualify:
- 2+ years of health informatics/EHR/related healthcare job experience with A+ hardware certification. Bachelors degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Management, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Certification in Health Informatics (e.g, Certified Health Data Analyst, Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems), or other Health Information Technology certification is preferred.
- Understanding of healthcare information systems (including EHRs), clinical decision support systems, and healthcare data/compliance standards.
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively, train, and support interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Flexibility in working with multiple projects at once, prioritizing objectives independently, and tracking and achieving specific deliverables.
- Detail-oriented behavior and attention to lead and facilitate specific multi-step processes.
- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends in healthcare.
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record in accordance with organizational standards.
Core Responsibilities:

- Supports health information systems/information technology support tickets, questions, and improvements for our processes.
- Works alongside compliance teams to ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, data governance policies, and industry standards.
- Collaborates with clinical staff, IT/IS professionals, and other stakeholders to refine and standardize practices, questions, and concerns to enhance staff skills and identify better usability and functionality.
- Keeps informed on current healthcare information standards and practices.
- Supports informatics projects, including system upgrades, interoperability enhancements, and data migration efforts, to streamline healthcare delivery.
- Detailed onboarding, offboarding, and general maintenance/tracking of staff including their technology, access, and tracking of said items.
- Inventory of technologies, software, and other items as identified.
- Identify, maintain, and develop data management and tracking projects to uphold the accuracy, integrity, security, and metrics of items supported by the IT/IS team.
- Other general projects/duties and continued learning as identified.
