We are currently seeking an experienced:
HOSPICE CHAPLAIN
Full Time
(Cumberland County)
Job Description:
Provides spiritual support to patients/caregivers.
Develops and maintains a resource group of clergy.
Acts as a liaison between hospice and community.
Documents records of visits to patients/caregivers.
Works collaboratively as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team.
Other job duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in religion, human services, theology, philosophy and/or be an ordained minister of his/her religious organization with emphasis in counseling.
Prefer advanced degree or appropriate certification in hospital or pastoral ministry.
Experience and competence in therapeutic methods of working with individuals, groups, and families in crisis, preferably in counseling and death, dying, and grief.
Ability to be open, flexible, and ecumenical.
Ability to work with IDT as a member as well as the ability to work autonomously.
Ability to select, train, and supervise the work of the bereavement volunteers.
