We are looking to add a Manager to our US&C Tax Business Advisory team. Are you a team player, comfortable in a rapidly changing environment, and possessing a broad, technically sharp tax background? If you enjoy tax technical debates, excel at analytical thinking with business acumen to advise non-tax stakeholders, and can work under pressure with attention to detail, this role offers an opportunity to make an immediate impact as a primary stakeholder supporting Uber's business teams. At its core, your job is to work on strategic initiatives and projects, including analyzing and advising on the tax implications of new products and lines of business across US&C and globally. You will identify tax risks, suggest practical solutions and technical requirements, and oversee their implementation. You will work closely with Operations, Product, Legal, and other stakeholders to design Uber’s latest products and features, ensuring a tax-compliant and efficient experience for Uber, Partners, and End Users. What You’ll Do

Provide full end-to-end tax advice and support on strategic initiatives and projects, including new products, while managing tax risks and ensuring tax requirements are implemented. Challenge the status quo and identify opportunities to improve Uber's existing business models. Design, test, and implement scalable improvements and solutions to identified tax issues. Perform tax research and monitor/analyze existing and proposed tax legislation to identify impacts to Uber's business lines/products. Coordinate global projects with regional Tax Business Advisory teams regarding new product offerings, modifications to existing products, and other strategic initiatives. Partner with business teams, finance, treasury, accounting, and legal to identify and implement tax planning strategies and minimize potential tax risks. Partner with and manage external advisors as necessary. Review contracts and collaborate with business, legal, and tax teams to ensure contracts contain key terms aligned with the global tax structure. Support tax provision and tax audits as necessary. Basic Qualifications

5+ years of experience in a public accounting firm, law firm, and/or in-house with experience in sales and use tax, Canadian GST/HST and related provincial taxes, or other indirect taxes. Bachelor's or advanced degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field. Preferred Qualifications

MST or LL.M. in Tax is a bonus Technical tax experience in areas such as corporate income tax, 1099 reporting, transfer pricing, and employment tax is a plus Strong interpersonal skills and highly collaborative with the ability to build relationships, gain credibility, and partner across functions to build consensus Clear communicator, team-oriented, and willing to take initiative while thinking two steps ahead Confidence and flexibility to operate in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment Inquisitiveness and the ability to spot issues, get to the heart of a matter, and articulate plans to address them Passionate about work with a desire to have a big impact Enthusiastic about Uber
