Primary Function: Prepares packages for shipment by sealing and taping boxes, ensuring items are packed securely and labeled correctly. Ensure sure that each box has the correct manifestations via scan gun. May transport products safely as required within the warehouse by means of motorized equipment, such as electric pallet jacks or sit-down forklift in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude. Job Responsibilities: Handling cartons, carefully packing, and ensuring they are protected from damage during transit. Use packing tape or machine tape to securely seal boxes, preventing them from opening during shipping. Handling warehouse label printer machine and Warehouse Printer. Responsible for moving product within the warehouse by means of motorized equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, reach lifts etc. Create cartons and labels prior to shipping Ability to break down incoming products per packing list Maintain productivity and quality minimum standards Adhere to all safety rules and PPE, policies, and procedures Work overtime as required. Qualifications, education, skills, and/or experience required High School Diploma or GED Requires pre-certification of powered equipment with 6 months of previous warehouse experience Previous work experience in shipping/material handling Previous RF equipment to move product Ability to operate the forklift safely Able to lift pieces weighing more than 50 pounds (assist when needed) and work in bending, squat, push, pull, and foot positions (includes working off stairs) for long periods of time Must be able to work quickly meeting productivity and quality standards Promote an environment where individual contributions to quality and cost improvements are maximized. Pass forklift certifications and requirements for operating forklifts Ability to work overtime when needed Comments for Suppliers: Must be able to operate a forklift, .i.e., sit down, dock stocker or walkie rider equipment. This is a FULLY ONSITE position; must be able to report onsite daily. Job Title: Material Handler II Location: Olive Branch, MS 38654 Duration: 3 months Shift time : 1st shift.
