Job Title: Maintenance Engineer - I
Location: Elkhorn, NE
Duration: 12 Months+ (Possibility of Extension)
Job Description: Duties & Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair utility and production equipment (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic). Use basic and advanced diagnostic tools including predictive maintenance tools. Execute preventive maintenance per OEM/engineering standards: calibration, inspections, minor/major overhauls. Perform complex repairs to support safety, quality, and equipment uptime. Fabricate components using shop tools (mills, lathes, drill press, welding). Use SAP or other CMMS software for managing maintenance tasks. Support operator training for equipment inspections and routine maintenance. Participate in TPM/Lean and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate within a team-driven environment with open communication and accountability.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma + 7 years' experience, or Associate's Degree + 4 years' experience, or Bachelor's Degree + 2 years' experience in a manufacturing setting.
Preferred Certifications (Nice to Have):
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 NFPA 70E 3rd Grade Boiler Certification ARCH Product Training
Required Skills:
Electrical troubleshooting: AC/DC drives, motor controls, PLCs, electrical controls. Mechanical systems: hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drive systems. Proficient in industrial power (480V), NEC code, and advanced PLC/hardwire circuits. Able to use test tools: amp meter, megger, multimeter. CMMS (e.g., SAP), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Skilled at blueprint and schematic reading. TPM/Lean knowledge and problem-solving techniques. Familiarity with safety systems, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), permits (PTW), and Arch Products. Capable of self-managing tasks and shifting priorities independently. Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.
