Facility General Manager II
reports directly to the Director and has direct responsibility for a used oil refinery operation, P&L, KPI's, staffing, responsible for safe-compliant operations inbound and outbound of oil shipments.

Responsible for safe-compliant operations inbound/ outbound of oil shipments, and oil refinery operations.
Manages labor to ensure operating costs are in line with budgeted and projected revenue.
Labor management includes all employee hours worked, overtime hours worked, hiring, firing, and performance appraisals.
Manages to facility to the clean compliance standards and measure against the CCP KPI’s
Recommends merit increases and promotions of facility personnel.
Ensure and enforce corporate and facility specific Health & Safety protocol and Standard Operating Procedures.
Continuously working closely with the safety department to enhance and improve safety within facility as a top priority.
Co-chairs Facility Health & Safety meetings,
Ensure and enforce corporate and facility specific Compliance protocol and Standard Operation Procedures.
Continuously works with the Facility Compliance Manager to ensure continued compliance with all corporate and regulatory protocol.
Reviews and approves all purchasing for the facility.
Responsible for management of profit and loss statements according to budgeted revenue and percentages.
Assures operating costs, labor, materials, supplies, disposal, and SG&A costs meet or exceed budgeted parameters.
Responsible for the training and development of all plant employees. Responsible for mentoring current and future managers assuring the continued growth of the company.
Ensure facility is properly maintained; Management of maintenance department including oversight of preventative maintenance systems.
Ensure facility is always clean and presentable for customer audits and tours. Participates when necessary or requested.
Assures facility provides proper customer service both internally and externally.
Performs other assignments as assigned by management.
What does it take to work at Clean Harbors?
BS/BA degree or equivalent industry experience
4+ years of plant operations or management experience preferred
5+ years industry experience in a refinery, hazardous waste or chemical facility (preferred)
Experience environmental statutes and regulations
Experience with profit and loss reports and expense management
Ability to set and measure KPI’s
Knowledge of CAPEX is a plus!
Ability to lead and work as a team of cross departmental direct reports
Good organizational and computer skills
Great Interpersonal and communication skills
Safety-First Leadership style
Demonstrated leadership by motivating teams and the ability to influence
Problem solving skills – Plant, equipment, supply chain, human capital etc.
Ability to be on call and become a site Emergency Coordinator
