Description: The E&C Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of the project once the project is turned over for field execution. The size of the projects range from 200 million to 1.5 billion dollars per project. All the project assoicated departments (Development, BM, PC, Engr, ISC, etc.) answer to the PM during the field execution phase. Specifically the PM is responsible for: 1) Staff and Employee Management; 2) Safety Management; 3) Contract Administration; 4) Project Management Planning; 5) Cost Management; 6) Time Management; 7) Quality & Schedule; 8) Commissioning and start-up of the facility; 9) set-up of operations' readiness; 10) Public Relations and Corporation Commication's liasion at the site and community level. The PM will also act as the company representative with local, national and international agencies and regulating entities during the execution phase. The PM approves all payments and CCO's for the company with unlimited authorization authority. No Shift Type Standard Shift (8-5) Hours per Day 8 Hours per Week 40 Total Hours 2,096.00 Description: Position Specific Description The Utility Scale Energy Storage team is looking for an innovative and dynamic Project Manager who is passionate about renewable energy. In this position you will be heavily involved with battery augmentation projects from conception through execution, to include exposure to cross-functional teams across the NextEra Energy Resources organization. You have the critical responsibility of planning, designing, and executing multiple energy storage augmentation projects. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope, technical oversight and consulting across cross functional teams to deliver a best-in-class product. You will be part of a growing team of experts who not only provide excellent data-driven inputs and analysis but are also customer service oriented with internal and external stakeholders. Employees in this role are strong problem solvers, blending creative and analytical skills to solve complex integration of batteries of differing technologies to existing sites. Successful candidates will have acute attention to detail with proven abilities to identify and apply lessons learned, implement process countermeasures, create tools and standardize work practices to maximize the efficiency of current and future projects. You will use utilize data from various internal and external sources to perform technical due diligence and propose storage & hybrid solutions to support our customers' evolving needs. As a support function, you will work collaboratively across the organization to support design, construction and commissioning. Duties & Responsibilities Manage multiple concurrent high volume battery augmentation projects from conception through execution, working closely with Power Generation, Business Management, Engineering and pre-construction and construction project managers Lead early-stage project efforts, including storage sizing, scope of work definition and schedule creation Coordinate key functions such as financial feasibility analysis, engineering/design review, resource analysis, legal/tax review, and contracting Lead efforts in brownfield permitting, interconnection agreement modification, and construction RFPs Support energy storage strategies through technical and market analysis Develop models and dashboards designed to improve management of projects, enhance team collaboration and identify valuable insights to maximize the benefit to all stakeholders Support the composition of contractual arrangements for project development Lead negotiating agreements with consultants and subcontractors Ensure compliance with applicable technical and regulatory requirements Support detailed design engineering of major components for augmentation projects Influence project teams in the engineering aspects of the technical work Collaborate with suppliers to successfully integrate major equipment Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams for problem solving, process improvement opportunities, and system integration and controls Identify value engineering opportunities as well as emerging technologies prospects Perform other job-related duties as assigned Preferred Work Experience

An SME in substation or utility scale energy storage design and/or project management, with established expertise in one or more of the following areas:

Power electronics Battery storage system design Substation design Generation tie design

Management and/or operation of large-scale projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders, including creation and adherence to schedule, budget and resource plans Demonstrated experience and skill managing technical and financial aspects of a large-scale fleet, including influence of maintenance, CAPEX, O&M spend or daily operations strategy Hands-on experience and knowledge of construction methods, including foundations, trenching, electrical terminations and testing, and best safety practices Strong knowledge of technologies in energy storage including varying battery chemistries, power conversion units and DC-DC converters Lithium-ion battery storage safety: familiarity with UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NFPA 70E, NEC, applicable IFC/IBC sections Familiarity with interconnection studies and GIA material modification adjustment (MMA) processes, particularly in WECC and CAISO Construction permitting and contracting experience Demonstrated experience creating and managing PowerBI dashboards that include multiple linked data systems requiring aggregation of large data volume and analytics Shows maturity of technical expertise and assumes responsibility for highly specialized technical objectives Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively conveying technical and non-technical concepts to diverse audiences
