Job Title: Warehouse Associate - 2nd Shift
Location: Greensburg, IN (Honda Plant)
Pay Rate: $19.07/hr Shift: 2nd Shift, 5:00 PM - 1:30 AM
About the Role We are seeking dependable Warehouse Associates to join our team supporting Honda's recycling operations at the Greensburg plant. This is a hands-on, physically active role that plays an important part in the recycling and waste management process, helping keep the facility safe, organized, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities Collect, sort, and transport recyclable materials (cardboard, plastic, scrap metal) and general waste throughout the plant using tuggers and carts. Operate balers to compact cardboard and plastic, including wiring, ejecting, and staging bales for transport. Work on the sorting line to separate cardboard, plastic, and trash for recycling. Handle drums of waste (non-regulated and hazardous) following closing, labeling, and identification procedures (training provided). Maintain consistent housekeeping of designated areas, including staging pallets, Styrofoam densification, and general plant clean-up. Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times (steel toe shoes, safety glasses, bump cap/hard hat, gloves; ear protection optional). Qualifications
Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting bags, boxes, and containers (up to 50 lbs.) repeatedly throughout the shift. Comfortable with extensive walking, standing, and climbing stairs in a fast-paced environment. Prior warehouse, recycling, or material handling experience is preferred, but training will be provided. Forklift certification is a plus (not required for initial placement). Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team. What to Expect
Labor-intensive role with consistent activity throughout the shift. Exposure to hot and cold areas of the plant, as well as moderate-to-loud noise from machinery. Opportunity to gain certifications such as DOT and hazardous materials handling with experience.
