Description

Commit, an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner with 800+ engineers, is seeking a Pre-Sales Solutions Architect (SA) for North America. The role focuses on designing and implementing cloud-based solutions - primarily on AWS but also leveraging other cloud providers where appropriate - that are scalable, secure, and cost-effective while helping clients align cloud adoption with business goals. This position combines pre-sales solutioning with delivery ownership: engaging customers early in the sales cycle, then leading the architecture and technical delivery to ensure successful adoption.

As an AWS Pre-Sales Solutions Architect at Commit, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions for our clients' cloud-based infrastructure using AWS services. You are expected to recognize the technical challenges businesses face and design well-architected solutions into terms executives can understand and value. You will work closely with prospects, clients, internal teams, and AWS resources to architect and deliver solutions that meet the clients' business objectives and requirements.

Key Responsibilities: Client Engagement: Partner with prospects and clients during pre- and post-sales cycles, gathering requirements, presenting solutions, and building trusted relationships. Provide guidance on AWS adoption strategies. Solution Design: Architect cloud solutions on AWS that align with client needs, ensuring scalability, security, compliance, and cost efficiency. Support hybrid and multi-cloud scenarios when beneficial. Technical Expertise: Maintain deep knowledge of AWS services and architectures while staying current on GCP offerings. Provide comparative insights to help clients choose the right cloud platform for their workloads. Many of our clients are considering migrating from GCP to AWS, so hands-on experience with both clouds is highly beneficial. Scoping: Collaborate with project management and engineering teams to define engagements, estimate effort, and develop SOWs that may span AWS-only, or hybrid deployments. Solution Delivery: Act as technical lead during customer engagement - ensuring deployment success, conducting hands-on implementation of core AWS/GCP services, leading workshops, and guiding teams on adoption. Delivery Ownership: Drive architecture reviews, lead migration activities, validate technical decisions, guide project delivery teams, and ensure delivered solutions match design intent. Provide escalation support during project delivery. Enablement: Mentor customer technical teams during delivery, conduct knowledge transfer sessions, and ensure operational readiness post-handover. Security & Compliance: Design and deliver cloud solutions that adhere to security and compliance best-practices on both AWS and GCP. Documentation & Proposals: Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and operational handoff materials for customers.
