Business Development Manager
Portland, OR Compensation
Compensation:
$80k-$95k . Top performers can expect to make between
$100k-$120k . Our compensation plan is uncapped. Purpose
Achieve sales targets by increasing the customer base of car dealerships, rental facilities, fleets, and other accounts with high-volume requirements for key replacements. Summary
The
BDM
is responsible for applying business knowledge and sales expertise to increase Car Keys Express (CKE) market share. The BDM will develop new accounts in their territory and coordinate with the Regional Sales Manager, Account Managers, and Inside Sales to identify leads and opportunities. Duties Critical to Success
Present Car Keys Express to dealerships, fleet managers, and rental facilities Use of our in-house CRM, Internal, to prospect for new business Log sales entries in Internal for every call, email, stop, and presentation Plan and coordinate travel to maximize in-person presentations daily Coordinate with RSM and inside sales to ensure closure of committed targets in a timely manner Participate in bi-weekly sales meetings (via Zoom) Complete all onboarding and ongoing training Learn CKE selling points to ensure a consistent message across all Regions Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Critical To Success
Confident, positive, self-motivated sales professional Ability to efficiently move leads through the sales funnel to a close Highly professional and knowledgeable, able to effectively represent the CKE brand Business acumen Strong situational awareness in unique sales presentation settings Ability to pre-plan cold calls to maximize effectiveness Communicate orally and in writing clearly Maintains team culture with all employees Ability to travel 50% of the time; overnight travel for 2 weeks may be required (one week on, one week off) Ability to prioritize and organize effectively, and work independently Deliverables
50 in-person sales stops per week (40 at prospective customers) Minimum of 5 new accounts (wins) per week Meet or exceed established sales quotas Touch base with assigned Regional Sales Manager every day Touch base with Territory Manager/Assistant Territory Managers weekly Spend 10 days per month making sales stops outside home territory Job specifications, standards, and requirements
5-8+ years experience in sales; automotive industry experience preferred Proven success in outside sales, business development, cold calling Expertise in developing new accounts Strong knowledge of B2B sales processes Sound judgment and problem-solving skills Employee-focused attitude with high level of professionalism and discretion Language Requirement: able to speak, read, and communicate effectively in English Seniorities
