Job Summary
The Banquet House Attendant is responsible for set-up, tear-down and clean-up of banquet and event spaces.
Job Responsibilities
• Provides guests with quality service interactions to enhance their stay.
• Sets-up banquet/event space according to the BEO for each function, and tears down the space at the end of the events.
• Vacuums, sweeps, mops, polishes, wipes areas clean before, during and after events.
• Ensures that the banquet area is maintained in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Ensures that all banquet rooms are securely locked when not in use.
• Ensures all equipment is stored in the designated areas.
• Maintains Marriott and Avion standards of food, beverage, and quality guest service.
• Assists in maintaining banquet and kitchen areas by keeping areas tidy and clean, and stocks assigned areas at the end of each shift, as needed.
• Other projects and duties as assigned by leadership.
Requirements
Qualifications
• Three to six months related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and respect for coworkers and guests.
• Knowledge of, and ability to, appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
• Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Ability to frequently lift, push and pull 25-50lbs.
