Overview
Business Intelligence Analyst Remote at Providence Health & Services. Candidates residing in Alaska, Washington, Montana, Oregon, California, Texas or New Mexico are encouraged to apply. The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for designing, creating, and managing BI and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge. This person will use insights from assessing the Patient Engagement Center data to propose workflow changes and opportunities for optimization, serve as a key point of contact for IS and IT Partners, and contribute to Patient Engagement Center project tracking and coordination. A background in data analysis and strong business acumen are required. The BI Analyst should be analytical and an excellent communicator. Ultimately, the BI Analyst will enhance Providences business intelligence capabilities to help make better, more informed decisions. Responsibilities
Loading, translating, and merging data from multiple sources to prepare datasets for analysis that guide decision making. Preparing documentation of analytic steps to enable replication and accuracy. Prioritizing multiple high-priority projects to meet deadlines. Attention to detail for technical programming and statistical analysis. Ability to spot errors and discrepancies in reports. Balancing scientific rigor with concise and timely analysis and reporting. Aligning and presenting trends and themes in data to identify workflow optimization opportunities. Assist in tracking Patient Engagement Center project progression, often serving as a point of contact for key stakeholder partners. Major Challenges
Loading, translating, and merging data from multiple sources to prepare datasets for analysis. Documentation of analytic steps for replication and accuracy. Prioritization of multiple high-priority projects to meet deadlines. Attention to detail in programming and statistical analysis. Identifying discrepancies in reports and ensuring data quality. Balancing rigor with timely, actionable insights. Presenting data trends to drive workflow optimization. Tracking project progression with stakeholders. Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. 1 year of experience in an analytic or technical role working with multiple data systems. Proven experience with database management, statistical representation of data, and use of spreadsheet/word processing software. 1 year of experience programming with SQL. Experience using data visualization software such as Tableau, Power BI, SSRS, etc. Background in data warehouse design (e.g., dimensional modeling) and data mining. Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree in a related field may apply to applicable years of experience. Insurance experience. Salary Range by Location
