In this role, youll play a key part in designing highways, roadways, intersections, and other criticaltransportation infrastructure projects. Youll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex engineering challenges and ensure all designs meet industry standards, environmental requirements, and safety regulations.

What Youll Do as a Highway Design Engineer Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage highway design projects, including drainage, alignments, and related tasks.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive design plans, detailed specifications, technical reports, and accurate cost estimates.
Ensure designs adhere to state and local standards, regulations and safety codes.
Promote, utilize and support QA/QC processes to guarantee quality deliverables.
Collaborate with internal teams, clients, subconsultants and agencies to ensure seamless project delivery.
Proactively support project managers with schedules, documentation, and presentations.
Assist with field inspections and data collection for roadway projects.

Salary Range$83,000-98,000 Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications/education, and other factors. 5-10 years of transportation experience Highway Design Engineering experience preferred
EIT required
Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it
Proficiency in MicroStation, STAAD, OpenRoads, and Bridge Design Software preferred.
Familiarity withstate DOT design standards(NYSDOT or PennDOT preferred)
