ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Associate to join our team at FLUENT. As an Inventory Associate, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory levels of finished goods, raw materials, and supplies to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You will be responsible for coordinating ordering and tracking of inventory, conducting regular inventory audits, and ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain inventory logs for final product, works in progress, returned items, consumables, excipients, and all other materials required by the manufacturing facility. Manage finished goods inventory control, including tracking inventory levels, ensuring accurate counts, and reconciling any discrepancies. Coordinate ordering and tracking of raw materials and supplies to ensure timely and accurate delivery and availability. Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure compliance with all regulations and accuracy of inventory levels. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of inventory management. Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory items to prevent damage, spoilage, or loss. Confirm delivered goods match purchase order documentation Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure timely and accurate reporting of inventory levels. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and execution of inventory-related tasks. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor's degree in business or supply chain management preferred. At least 2 years of experience in inventory management or related field required; experience in a cannabis company preferred.
SKILLS
Strong organizational and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and inventory management software.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements related to inventory management.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Knowledge of cannabis industry-specific regulations, including seed-to-sale tracking requirements, is highly desirable.
Experience with ERP systems or inventory management software is preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Per state law, must be at least 21 years of age.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates in cultivation and manufacturing environments. This role routinely uses cultivation processing equipment and standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be able to speak and hear. Employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms and ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This position will sometimes requires long hours and may be required to work some weekends.
TRAVEL
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
