The Boeing Company is looking for Software Engineers - Developers to join the Government Vehicle Health Management Systems (GVHMS) team located in Hazelwood, Missouri. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) Software Engineering organization. The GVHMS team develops, fields, and supports platform health management systems for the F/A-18, MQ-25, F-15, T-38, T-7, and proprietary platforms. Software acquires and manages platform health and usage data, performs health and usage assessment, and recommends maintenance actions. We create, design, develop, modify, prove concepts, verify, test, and demonstrate products and solutions to maximize platform mission readiness and effectiveness, reduce lifecycle costs, and keep customers safe. Successful candidates will develop software and software tests throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle in this role. The candidate will develop cloud-based, micro-service applications in a CI/CD software build pipeline using Agile methodology. At this time, we are particularly interested in candidates with experience in Unity, WPF, and/or development in a cloud-based environment. Specific responsibilities relate to these technologies; visualization (including AR/VR), UI creation and updates, and transition to and growth of our cloud-based solutions. Associate and Mid-Level Software Engineers . Position Responsibilities Supports the design, development, test, and maintenance of non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards. Assists with review, analysis and translation of customer requirements into initial design of software products. Supports development, maintenance, enhancement and optimization of software products and functionalities for systems integrations. Supports development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products. Supports debugging and resolution of issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products. Participates in handling user inquiries, troubleshooting technical issues and user feedback analysis. Supports implementation of current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software development. Supports development, establishment, monitoring and improvement of software processes, tools and key performance metrics that align projects with organizational goals and industry benchmarks. Supports execution and documentation of software research and development project. Assists with performing software project management activities and software supplier management functions. Supports tracking and evaluation of software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process compliance to project plans and industry standards.

Basic Qualifications

2 years of experience in .NET, C#, JavaScript 2 years of experience in Windows, Linux 2 years of experience in containerization, Git Customer facing UI development experience

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge of specification format requirements, guidelines, and change control processes; understanding of relationship between specifications/standards and aircraft/product certification systems Knowledge of host environments, including processors, operating systems and networks; ability to build, integrate and troubleshoot software components Knowledge of software programming languages and databases and the ability to apply to the software domain Knowledge of how to derive and allocate requirements and show traceability throughout the product lifecycle Knowledge of software architecture and design methodologies; ability to synthesize architectures and designs that meet requirements and constraints Knowledge of software development processes in compliance with internal and industry standards, guidelines, and best practices Knowledge of software development and testing tools and usage Knowledge of domains and products that influence software architecture, requirements, interfaces, designs, and integration/test approaches Knowledge of supplier assessment processes and project management tooling Knowledge of implementation, validation, and verification processes to ensure software quality, performance, and safety
