Position Summary We are seeking a driven and experienced

Manufacturing Engineering Manager

to lead and strengthen manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for designing, refining, and sustaining efficient, high-quality manufacturing processes for advanced materials and components. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who engages directly with the shop floor, inspires engineering teams, and drives operational excellence through innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers, fostering an environment of innovation, technical rigor, and cross-functional collaboration. Actively engage with shop floor teams to identify and resolve production challenges, ensuring seamless communication between engineering and operations. Utilize Model-Based Manufacturing tools and CAD/CAM software (e.g., CATIA V5, SolidWorks, Siemens NX) to support design, analysis, and process development. Implement Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S) to boost efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. Oversee equipment and tooling selection, procurement, and maintenance to meet production and quality requirements. Partner with design, R&D, quality, and production teams to ensure manufacturability and smooth product introduction. Manage budgets, schedules, and resources for manufacturing engineering projects. Troubleshoot and resolve technical production issues using structured root cause analysis. Champion digital manufacturing initiatives such as digital work instructions, value stream mapping, and automation. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering and production staff. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred). 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in composites or aerospace-related production environments. 3+ years in a leadership role managing technical engineering teams. Proven hands-on presence on the shop floor, with the ability to bridge the gap between engineering and production. Strong knowledge of composite manufacturing processes, including layup, molding, curing, machining, and assembly. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (CATIA V5, SolidWorks, Siemens NX preferred). Demonstrated success implementing Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar methodologies. In-depth understanding of quality standards such as ISO and AS9100. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Experience managing complex projects, including budgets and timelines. Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and advanced manufacturing technologies (additive manufacturing, automation, digital twin) is a plus.
