JOB SUMMARY
The Stress Engineer develops creative and technically superior engineering solutions appropriate to each project assigned with increased levels of accountability, skill/expertise, and leadership onsite at the Wichita, KS Office.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform Static, fatigue and dynamic stress analysis for Aero structures Use of classical hand calculation approach to analyze both primary and secondary structures Experience in both metallic and composite structures/components Provide technical solutions from conceptual to detailed design stage. Use of Finite Element Methods for load extraction and to solve complex engineering problems Participate in review meetings with Client, Customer and Suppliers. Engineering Stress report generation and review. Interact with customer; prepare Scope of Work, laydown the execution methodology to ensure that the projects executed meet the customer requirements. QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering Skills/Specialized Knowledge/Abilities
At least 3 years of experience in Aerospace Industry as a Stress Engineer. Comprehensive knowledge Stress analysis of Aero structures, Nacelle and EBU systems. Preferred
Knowledge of Aerospace industry and standards Experience in metallic and Composites structural analysis Experience in Load, stress calculations and preparing technical reports Experience in Finite Element Analysis tools (Nastran, Patran) Experience in static, fatigue, and damage tolerance calculations Strong oral and written communication skills Knowledge of Aerospace industry and standards Experienced in PATRAN, NASTRAN, FEMAP Experience in MRB and SRM Experience in CATIA V5, Enovia
