Project Management

position is an exciting opportunity based in Colorado Springs, CO that encompasses dimensions of Project Management and leadership with knowledge of Systems Development, Engineering, and Integration. The successful candidate will work directly with the Kratos Space Federal team, including engineering, finance, program management, and business development. Our project managers team with our functional managers to develop long term visions in strategic business pursuits, successfully create solutions for executing programs, and expand our business pipeline by listening and responding to current and potential customer needs. Responsibilities

Lead highly technical engineering teams developing and implementing new ground segment capabilities. Directly manage the core staff on ground equipment development for space program(s). Manage project technical and business baselines. Manage project financial performance Provide PM support to other projects as necessary. Work with our engineering experts to provide technical advice to our customers on architectures and potential solutions. Collaborate with functional / resource managers (matrix organization) to allocate staff resources and identify resource needs. Properly manage classified information and activities. Manage the capture of new business for existing and new customer accounts including supporting or leading proposal efforts. Pursue business development opportunities that employ products and/or broader end-to-end solutions. Interface directly with customers to ensure project requirements are met and guarantee our performance exceeds customer expectations. Manage sub-contractors and vendors, as applicable Develop and deliver effective customer presentations (design reviews, status reports, kickoff meetings, test plans) demonstrating an ability to communicate comfortably at a system level. Report on project financial performance and schedule performance to senior management on a monthly basis. Travel as necessary to attend conferences and customer meetings. Be a strong team player. Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or other technical discipline Minimum of 6 or more yearis of program management experience executing technical development programs leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team Demonstrated proficiency with managing programmatics such as EACs, schedules, and risk, effectively tracking budgets to their associated tasks Direct experience managing within different FFP, CPFF, and T&M contract vehicles. Experience with MS Project application, with the ability to develop and maintain a detailed MS Project Schedule, effectively tracking technical progress Experienced in managing contractual and technical requirements directly with customers, specifically on Engineer-To-Order type projects Strong teaming, leadership, organizational and verbal/written communication skills Experience developing and delivering effective customer presentations (design reviews, status reports, kickoff meetings, test plans) demonstrating an ability to communicate comfortably at a system level Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance Travel required ~ 10%. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access U.S. only data systems and export-controlled data Preferred Skills and Experience

Experience working US Government Projects, specifically with the US Space Force ground systems. Experience working with software based radiois/modems running in VNFis. Experience working with RF communication equipment Experience working in Satellite communications Experience working projects utilizing cloud implementations Experience with Atlassian tools Experience working with an Agile/Iterative software development scheduling approach Experience managing Subcontractors Clearance and Travel
