Drywall Project Manager/Estimator
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a skilled Drywall Project Manager/Estimator to oversee commercial and residential drywall projects from bidding through completion. This role combines estimating responsibilities with hands-on project management, requiring both technical expertise and strong leadership skills. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed and accurate drywall estimates, including labor, material, and equipment costs. Analyze drawings, blueprints, and specifications to develop competitive bids. Manage awarded projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Coordinate subcontractors, field crews, suppliers, and inspectors. Oversee scheduling, change orders, RFIs, and progress billing. Maintain strong client relationships and serve as the primary project contact. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Track project costs, budgets, and profitability. Provide regular reporting to senior management. Qualifications
5+ years of experience in drywall estimating and project management. Strong knowledge of drywall, framing, acoustical ceilings, and related scopes of work. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with On-Screen Takeoff or similar tools preferred. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong leadership, organizational, and time management abilities. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. What’s Offered
