Job Summary:
We are seeking a, experienced, caring, and energetic Toddler Teacher to join our team at a licensed childcare center in Mississippi. The ideal candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and educational environment that supports the developmental needs of children ages 1-2. This position requires compliance with Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) childcare regulations and active participation in curriculum planning and classroom management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood standards.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Maintain daily communication with parents regarding their childs progress and classroom activities.
• Ensure safety, supervision, and well-being of all children at all times.
• Observe, document, and assess each childs developmental progress.
• Comply with all MSDH licensing regulations and center policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support a cohesive learning environment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent preferred (required for lead teacher roles).
• At least 1 year of experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred.
• Must pass an MSDH-required background check and health screening.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
