HKA is working on behalf of Jacobs, and this role is to support Jacobs’ work through HKA

**$1,500 bonus**

Qualifications

Will not be strictly electrical work; role requires all aspects of facility maintenance.

Strong general mechanical and plumbing aptitude.

Willingness to work and learn all disciplines.

Self-starter, prioritize work orders based on deadlines and equipment issues.

Strong Electrical Power Distribution Knowledge and experience

24V, 120V, 480V, 4160V, 12470V

Both single phase and three phase experience

Ability to read and interpret electrical one-lines

Experience with the following gear

• High Voltage Switches
• Substations
• Busway & Bus Plugs
• MCC
• Transformers
• Breakers
• Panels
• Disconnects

Experience with the following tools & PPE

• 40 Cal Arc Flash Suit & Electrical Gloves
• Hot Stick, Shotgun, Electrical Blanket
• Ground straps, grounding high voltage

Must be a US citizen.

Valid Driver's License

No Residential

Trained on NFPA 70E, and ability to train Boom lift, scissor lift, forklift, and Cushman carts.

Training in motor and motor controls, variable frequency drives, and PLC / BMS controls. Ability to read complex wiring diagrams, identify electrical components, and extensive knowledge in troubleshooting of control circuits.

Uses guidelines from the National Electrical Code, local codes, safety regulations and Jacobs standard practices. Wears PPE and ARC Flash equipment while performing live troubleshooting.

Experience with industrial HVAC

Responsibilities

• Climb ladders, stairs, work from heights/roof, walk distances, work in hot/cold climates, lift 50 lbs.
• Report to work during harsh weather conditions.
• Ability to work on a team.
• Utilize scissors lift, boom lift, forklift, 3-wheel cart, hoist way.
• Locate tools, supplies, materials to job site including carrying items upstairs & to the roof.
• Responsible for tools, supplies, 5S, COP.
• Read and understand system blueprints, specifications, and performance data to determine configuration and purpose of system components such as compressors, motors, pumps, fans, switches, controls, ducts, or pipes.
• Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and building equipment. Connects power supply wires to machines and building equipment, connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, motor starters, MCC panels, MCC circuits, variable frequency drives and lighting fixtures and replace damaged or broken wires, cables, and fuses.
• Dismantle malfunctioning systems and test components.
• Replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, sensors, motors, and position sensing devices.
• Plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
• Responsible for accurate and timely paperwork related to essential duties and responsibilities.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasking on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Second shift 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM (30 minute lunch)
• Overtime required
