Position Overview
Magnolia Dental at Chillicothe is looking for a skilled and dependable Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. We are especially interested in candidates who bring proven experience and a strong clinical background to support our dentists in delivering high-quality care. Hours:
- Monday 9-5
- Tuesday 9-6
- Wednesday 9-5
- Thursday 8:30-4
- Fridays 8:30-4
Key Responsibilities
Prepare patients for dental procedures, ensuring their comfort and addressing any questions or concerns.
Provide skilled chairside assistance during procedures, anticipating dentist and patient needs.
Take and process dental X-rays as directed.
Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
Accurately manage patient records and treatment documentation.
Educate patients on post-procedure care, oral hygiene, and preventative practices.
Monitor and manage supplies in treatment rooms.
Support front office tasks as needed (scheduling, insurance verification, etc.).
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a Dental Assistant program or relevant certification required.
Current radiology certification for the state of Ohio (required).
2+ years of chairside dental assisting experience preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and the dental team.
Ability to anticipate needs, work independently, and contribute to a team-driven environment.
Experience with dental software and advanced technologies is a plus.
