Typical Patient Day/Load/Ratio: We perform 60 minute evaluations and treatment sessions 30 to 45 minutes as appropriate based on diagnosis. We only treat one patient at a time. Typical 2 to 3 evaluations a day and then rest of day treatments ( 2 evaluations plus 11 treatment ( 30 minutes in length)
Cheshire Medical Center offers a broad range of therapies for all ages and abilities. Many of our therapists are highly specialized or certified in distinct areas of practice. Your intake conversation or direct referral will help us place you with the best therapist to meet your individual needs.
Physical therapy helps build strength, regain mobility, and improve balance. It can also strengthen your body, reduce pain, and prevent future injury. You may need it to: Adapt to an artificial limb Control your bowels or bladder, or improve sexual function Elevate athletic performance Get a splint or brace Improve movement or ability Learn to use assistive devices like a walker or cane Manage a chronic illness like diabetes, arthritis, or lung disease Perform your job safely after an illness or injury Prepare for or recover from surgery Prevent disability or surgery Prevent or recover from a sports injury Recover after a stroke, accident, injury, or cancer Recover after birth Reduce dizziness or improve your balance Relieve pain Work on balance to prevent a slip or fall Previous training in and competency in use of standard PT modalities (Estim, USD,) expected, device specific training to be provided Patient Population: Typically Adult, but experience in all age groups welcome
Requested time off during the course of this assignment MUST be noted and verified at upload. RTO REQUESTS AFTER UPLOAD WILL NOT BE APPROVED!! NO MORE THAN 5 DAYS OF RTO WILL BE ACCEPTED (less is better). As of 1/1/24 - all new and returning agency staff must have de-escalation training as part of their onboarding and clearance. Facility As of 1/1/2024 - ALL new AND returning agency staff must have completed training from one of following groups for onboarding and clearance: CPI, AVADE or MOAB. These are the only certificates that will be considered. Thank you! CC
Dress Code: Either personal scrubs of any color or business casual (Athleisure/stretchy clothing ok too, but no leggings, crop shirts, etc). No open toe/back shoes. No non-billable orientation Holiday and OT Multipliers: 1.25%

Partnering with Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene, Cheshire is able to provide primary and specialty care throughout southwestern New Hampshire. Keene, located between Boston, MA and Hartford, CT (just 110 miles to each city!) is in the heart of some of New England's finest recreational and historical areas. Travelers can enjoy the scenery in Keene while touring the beautiful covered bridges throughout the region or hiking Mt. Monadnock, just 14 miles southwest of town. Numerous hiking trails make it the perfect location for any traveler who enjoys outdoor activities!
